Drop-In Studio Time.

Starting at $45 per session

Already have clay and need a place to fire your work?

You can rent space in the kiln for a bisque and/or glaze firing. Bisque firing temperature is cone 04 and glaze is cone 6. Clay and glazes must be compatible with the listed cone temps.

You must have enough work to fill at least one shelf (17in x 17in), and turnaround time is approx. 1-2 weeks, depending on firing schedule.

You may fire any clay or glaze as long as it is rated for cone 04 bisque and cone 6 glaze firing. Any damage to the kiln shelves will incur a $10 shelf scraping fee per shelf. If your pieces are likely to drip, you’re required to provide your own cookies to fire on.

Firing is charged by the shelf:

Bisque (cone 04) - $20/shelf; full kiln: $70

Glaze (cone 6) - $25/shelf; full kiln: $85

This is not a lesson, this is self-guided clay time!

Sign up for specific handbuilding or wheel time. While full instruction will NOT be provided during these sessions, you will be provided with a brief walkthrough, visual aids, and project suggestions if needed!

This time is the perfect way to decompress from a full day of work, have some solo quiet time, unplug from your phone, or get creative with a friend!

Each drop-in session will be 90 minutes - you will be provided with 4lbs of clay, have access to our handbuilding table or wheel (depending upon type of session), slab roller, studio tools, stamps, and cookie cutters. Projects will be of your choosing and you will work at your own pace. That said, please bear in mind that this is a one-time session.

Make something during your session that you like and want to keep? Amazing!

The firing of one piece per person is included in the session price. However, additional pieces (up to 3 per person) will be subject to a $10 service charge per piece. This $10 firing fee, covers the cost associated with the extra labor and kiln space needed to fire your pottery. That said, please note that the goal is to learn about the ceramic process, get your hands dirty, and have fun! The creation of a pottery piece is secondary.

After your session, I will do all of the nitty gritty extra steps for you.

This includes us drying your piece, bisque firing it, glazing it in the color of your choice (from our available studio glazes), as well as glaze firing. By the time it is complete, your piece will be food, drink, microwave, and dishwasher safe!

Setup/cleanup must be factored into your 90 minute designated studio time, it will not be done for you.

Want to come back to continue working on a project/trim/glaze etc.? You can book a follow up session!
